Narrowest straits - The narrowest navigable straits in the world are those between Aegean island of Euboea and the mainland of Greece. This satellite image of the area shows the Aegean Sea at the top and right, with Euboea almost joined to the mainland. The gap here is only 131 ft wide at the town of Khalkis.
